A not very well known fact about "equal representation" in Congress now ...and other strange things in DC

Posted by: ThomasinaPaine
Donald Trump is an accidental president. He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million ballots. And he would be far more powerless if not for the fact that the United States Senate is an anti-democratic relic.
The 49 senators in the Democratic caucus represent almost 40 million more people than the 51 in the Republican caucus.

And did you know that SCOTUS jurist Kennedy (retired) has a son named Justin who was instrumental in getting Trump the billions in loans from Deutsche Bank?

I see no relevance between your comment and the post. The only' mob rule' I see slipped the traces if what you say is so...and is in the White House wearing a MAGA hat...lol

@ThomasinaPaine No relevance at all. just the opposite, you actually have a mob rule right now.

@ThomasinaPaine The relevance is in your own words.."if not for the fact that the United States Senate is an anti-democratic relic.
The 49 senators in the Democratic caucus represent almost 40 million more people than the 51 in the Republican caucus."
Higher population areas dominate in the Congress...That is where your MOB rule is. Not possible in the Senate with only 2 Reps per state. You know that.

So tell me. What are you going to do when President TRUMP is re-elected in 2020 ?

Talking about "fake" representation: I would start with all insular teritories. millions of democratic voters that pay taxes and healthcare..
remember? no taxation without representation. ha -ha

Yep, that "anti-democratic relic" is anti-democratic by design, to ensure that the less-populous states weren't continually outvoted on all issues by the more populous ones.
And many thanks to the founding fathers for having that foresight. Because whichever way the cheese slides off of the United States cracker--whether we devolve into a theocracy or descend into the depths of populist socialism--it's not going to be pretty when it does.
