As questioning of former Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch resumed on the second day of the House’s public hearing in their impeachment inquiry, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) tried to suggest that there was a culture of anti-Trump sentiment amongst elements of the Ukrainian government and its US envoys. Jordan then questioned Yovanovitch as to why she didn’t Jordan went on to recount Taylor previous testimony before rambling about his interpretation of the timeline regarding the military aid that was approved for the Ukrainian government, tying that into his previous suggestion of anti-Trump bias among Ukrainian politicians and envoys, and again, wondering why Yovanovitch didn’t raise any concerns about his version of history.

For all they blather on about patriotism, the unctuous Republicans are the ones who really despise their country.

For most of modern political history, the Republican Party has used patriotism — an odd and obfuscating sentimentality — as a weapon to shame critics of American foreign policy, and turn the general public against dissidents who reject the folly of Empire maintenance through violence.

Samuel Johnson’s excoriation — made famous by Bob Dylan — that “patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels” always seemed accurate in both its denunciation of the manipulative emotion itself, and also of those who take advantage of it for political expediency.

America has collapsed into a prone position, however, where the scoundrels are so brazen in their inhumanity, so bold in their indifference to suffering, and so barbaric in their refusal to compromise for the sake of their own country that only their own language can aptly describe them.

resident Donald Trump, his enablers in Congress and his most devoted supporters are anti-American and soft on terrorism.

resident Trump provides an example of love for country by ridiculing Atlanta as “horrible” and “crime-infested,” claiming that “no human being” would like to live in Baltimore, and maintaining that black residents of Chicago are “living in hell.”

The enlistees of the Trump cult at his bizarre gatherings applaud, cheer and laugh when their high priest derides American cities, and disparages the millions of their compatriots who reside within them.

It does not require the discerning eye of Sherlock Holmes to notice that the geographic objects of Trump’s hatred are always metropolitan areas with high percentages of black inhabitants.

Donald Trump's criminal misbehavior has real consequences for real people. Too often, that includes death.

There was a moment early in the testimony last Wednesday by longtime diplomat and Army veteran Bill Taylor that was lost in the drama of everything else
he had to say about Donald Trump’s attempt to extort the Ukrainian government.

An unsecured mobile phone call to Donald Trump from his top diplomat in Europe, who was sitting in an open-air restaurant, could yield the most direct evidence yet that the president himself pressured a foreign power to conduct politically motivated investigations.

“Schiff is a national disgrace. His sole focus has been on trying to destroy a president. I plan to hold him accountable for his misdeeds and blatant self-interest.

In closing, Schiff repeated that it was “false” to claim that he knows who the whistleblower is or that he met with him. Confused viewers might recall the back story recounted by Rep. Devin Nunes, who was openly disdainful of Taylor and Kent.

In the previous probe under Robert Mueller, Nunes recalled, Democrats had claimed Donald Trump was a Russian agent and attempted to overturn the 2016 election. ...

Why is it that most people don't want to vote for her?

A Tyrannical Matriarchy is just as bad--knowing a woman's scorn--probably worse than the bloodiest despotic patriarchal authoritarianism. She would be setting a precedent with something to prove: Namely getting rid of the last vestiges of National and Self Sovereignty while further lining the Clinton's coffers and the super-inflated ego of her delusional power trip.
